Mark it on your calendars - Bike to Work Week 2008 is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 through Friday, May 9.  Watch this site for updates to our calendar.  Also, If you want to participate in planning, sponsoring or helping these events be successful, please Call Ed West at 608-782-2078 and get on the list.

Bike to Work Week promotes healthy, fun and safe active commuting in the coulee region. We want to encourage one week of riding bicycles for clean green commuting to work, school, worship, shopping and play. Imagining one week could become a lifetime, and inviting the community to join us in a step toward a cleaner, greener, healthier future.

The La Crosse School District and the La Crosse County Health Department are sponsoring Safe Routes To School activities during the same week.  Click on the Safe Routes To School tab for those activities

May is national Bike Month and one awareness event is Bike to Work Week promoted by the League of American Bicyclists, the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin and locally CouleeBikes.  CouleeBikes formed this year to organize the 2008 Bike to Work Week May 3rd to May 9th.
